Overview:

For years, you have used Microsoft Access to collect and store data for your organization. But Access is proprietary. And Microsoft seems to be moving away from the desktop to the cloud.

What if Access is no longer available? What if you outgrow Access and need to scale up to a different RDBMS? Is all your data lost?

The short answer to these questions is “No – or at least, not necessarily.”

In this course you’ll learn about tools and techniques you can use to reclaim your data from proprietary database formats, using Microsoft Access as an example. It’s your data - take it back.

Why you should Attend:

  • Identify techniques you can use to gain access to data stored in a proprietary file format; specifically, Microsoft Access

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • An overview of the process required to migrate the contents of your database, what will migrate and what won’t
  • Applications to convert and migrate your data
  • Applications to manage your migrated data

Who Will Benefit:

  • Practitioners wanting to learn ways to rescue data from proprietary database management systems
